Itinerary

This is an excellent trip for those people that want to have a close-up contact with the rainforest and explore like the natives by fishing, trekking, paddling, and camping out in the jungle.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Begin of the Trip

At 8am you will be transferred from the hotel to the Ceasa port. There a speed-boat is used to take the group to the meeting of the waters (the point where the Negro river and the Solimões River meet). From there the group is taken to the village of Careiro da Várzea on the other side of the river. The entire boat-ride takes about 40 minutes. At Careiro da Várzea, the journey continues by car for about 50 minutes to the River Paraná do Mamori. From there the last part of the journey is by speed-boat for about 45 minutes reaching the lodge around at 11:30 am.

At 2:30 pm the activities begin, the group leaves by motorized boat to the camping place for the next few days, there you will set up camp and prepare yourselves to go Cayman spotting during the night.

Meals are generally prepared with regional fresh fish, chicken, rice, vegetables, and Manioc wheat. Accommodation is provided in a hammock with mosquito net.

Day 2: Camping out in the Jungle

At 5:30 am a canoe trip is done to watch the sunrise and to get a close-up view of the forest waking up to a new day. At 7 am breakfast is served and then at 8 am a jungle walk starts and finishes at 11:30 am. During the walk, the guide explains valuable information about the forest, including medicinal plants, spiders, trees, and there is even a chance of seeing monkeys. The afternoon activity starts at 3 pm. It includes canoeing in the flooded forest and in the small channels, offering a great opportunity to see and learn about the flora and fauna of this fantastic Amazon jungle and also go fishing for some piranhas.

Meals include cracker, eggs, coffee, tea, fruits, and juice, along with dishes made from regional fresh fish, chicken, rice, vegetables, and Manioc wheat. Accommodation is provided in a hammock with mosquito net.

Day 3: Camping Out in The Jungle
