Embark on a survival tour with Joshua’s Amazon Expeditions for an immersive experience in the Amazon Jungle. This unique adventure takes you deep into the Juma area, south of Manaus, for a close encounter with nature and an in-depth learning experience about the forest's ecosystem. Prepare to spend your nights camping under the stars in the heart of the Amazon.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Journey Begins- 8:00 AM: Transfer from your hotel to Ceasa port. Embark on a speed-boat to witness the meeting of the waters, followed by a 40-minute boat ride to Careiro da Vazea. The journey continues by car and another speed-boat ride, arriving at the lodge around 11:30 AM for lunch.
- 2:30 PM: Head to the camping site to set up hammocks with mosquito nets and prepare for overnight stay. Meals are made with fresh regional ingredients like fish, chicken, rice, vegetables, and Manioc wheat.
- 5:30 AM: Canoe trip to watch the sunrise and experience the forest’s awakening. After breakfast at 7:00 AM, embark on a jungle walk till 11:30 AM to learn about the forest's flora and fauna.
- 3:00 PM: Enjoy canoeing in the flooded forest and discovering the Amazon’s rich biodiversity. The night concludes with Caiman spotting and camping in the jungle, meals continue with fresh regional produce.
- From 8:00 to 11:00 AM, visit a local family to learn about their life in the Amazon. The afternoon is reserved for fishing for piranhas and other fish, later enjoying them for dinner at camp.
- Early morning hike in the jungle to seek more wildlife. After breakfast, navigate through channels and creeks to observe birds and other species. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax before departing back to Manaus, arriving around 4:30 PM. Meals this day include a wider variety of options including beef and beans, along with the usual offerings.
